These pictures show one of the cases I ran in FEA to compare roll cage designs.  This is a 27 kN force (about a 2.5 g crash for my car) applied to the top
of the A-pillar which is the weakest point of the roll cage.  The maximum deflection at this load is 6 mm.  I applied loads like this on many different points on
the roll cage and modified my designs until I came up with this final design which performed well under all of the conditions I applied to it.
